Our story
Founded in Houston, TX, by Sarah Magruder—named one of Oil & Gas Investor’s 25 Influential Women in Energy 2023—Savvy Oil & Gas Consulting delivers high-quality, client-focused services to drive prosperity in the oil and gas industry.
The name “Savvy” comes from Sarah’s first horse, rescued as a weanling in 2006. Despite humble beginnings, Savvy grew into a strong, graceful partner—symbolizing resilience, trust, and transformation. Inspired by their bond, Sarah chose the name as a reflection of both professional expertise and personal meaning. And while she considered a horse for the logo, she chose a unicorn—because Savvy is unique, magical, and one of a kind.
