Mary Murphy has over 35 years of management experience in the oil and gas industry with a strong focus on financial operations, revenue accounting, audit, and regulatory reporting. Since joining Savvy Oil and Gas Consulting in 2022, she has played a vital role in supporting clients with severance tax compliance.

Before joining Savvy, Mary served as Controller at Oxley Energy and as Revenue Manager for Murphy Exploration & Production Company. Earlier in her career, she held various leadership roles in accounting and revenue management at multiple oil and gas companies, contributing to system implementations, acquisitions and divestitures, and cross-functional financial operations.

As a consultant, Mary is known for her ability to analyze problems, streamline procedures, and deliver practical, effective solutions.

She has spent a significant amount of time in revenue accounting, been involved in many acquisitions and divestitures, and been integral to several software conversions.

Mary holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Texas A&M University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
